2008 NFL Week 12 Spreads and Lines
November 18, 2008
Raise your hand if you got screwed in the Pittsburgh Steelers game this weekend ? Crazy isnt it. Another great week of football. Speaking of the Steelers, they are 10.5 point favorites over the Bengals. Buffalo continues to struggle after playing a tough game on Monday night. They are 3 point favorites over the Chiefs. The Game of the Week is probably the Jets vs the Titans. The Titans can continue their win streak and Brett Favre can make his mark again as one of the top QBs to ever play the game. The Jets are 4.5 point underdogs in that game. The Titans have been playing close games. The Eagles 1 point underdogs agains the Ravens. The Ravens should bounce back again. Goof of the week is Donovan McNaab stating that he didnt know ties existed in the NFL. The second game of the week is probably the Giants vs the Cardinals. The Cardinals are 3 point underdogs against the Giants. It will be the Cardinals’ high powered offense against the Giants. Check back Thursday night for our free picks.
Here are the latest spreads.

2008 NFL Week 10 Spreads and Lines
November 4, 2008
The spreads and lines for Week Ten of the 2008 NFL season has been released. Another exciting week in the NFL. The Sports Affiliate went 2-0 with out picks this week. We continue to scale down our picks so we can become more accurate in our picks. Here is history:
The game to watch has to be if the Tennessee Titans can continue their undefeated streak. They got lucky last week in OT against the Packers. Another team to watch out for are the Arizona Cardinals they are 9.5 point favorites over the the 49ers. Another tight game in the NFC East with the Giants against the Eagles. The Eagles have the home field advantage. But can they play at the level the Giants are playing ? Another game with a huge spread the Chargers are 15 point favorites over the Kanasas City Chiefs. That will be a tough pick. Again which Chiefs team will show up.

Do you believe in the Redskins Rule?
November 3, 2008
The Redskins Rule is a term coined by Steve Hirdt of the Elias Sports Bureau. The Redskins Rules is:
If the Redskins win their last home game prior to Election Day, the party that won the popular vote in the previous election wins the White House; if the Redskins lose, the party that lost the popular vote in the previous election wins.
This has held true for the last 17 presidential elections. So if this rule holds true. if the Steelers win tonight Barack Obama will win, and if the Redskins win tonight, John McCain will take the election.
We shall see if this holds true !

2008 NFL Week 9 Spreads and Lines Released
October 29, 2008
The spreads and lines for NFL Week 9 have been released. The Sports Affiliate went 2-1-1 last week. Some games of interest…The Bears are 13 point favorites vs the Lions. A game team always to watch out for week to week are the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins are 3 point underdogs vs the Broncos. How the tide has turned for the Cowboys, they face the Giants. There is a 9 point spread for this game ! If the Cowboys were a better team at this point in the season, this would be a 1-3 point spread, but instead the Giants are 9 point favorites. The game of the week is probably the Monday night game between the Steelers and the Redskins. The Redskins are 1.5 point favorites at home. I dont think the Redskins will be underdogs again this year. Look for our Free Picks for this week. We should have our free picks released by Thursday night.

Brandon Lang Hot Tip about the New England Patriots
October 24, 2008
Just heard Brandon Lang on a local radio show, a famous handicapper, if you have seen the movie with Matthew McConaughey and Al Pacino called Two for the Money. Well he gave a quick nugget that Bill Bellichik is 14-0 against the NFC West and COVERS everytime. That is a nugget !
The Patriots play the St Louis Rams this week in NEW ENGLAND. The Patriots are 7.5 favorites. This might be a nice play. I will have to breakdown this game and see if this is a good play.

Larry Johnson of the Chiefs Ruled out for Week 8?
October 21, 2008
Larry Johnson of the Kansas City Chiefs could be ruled out for Week 8 due to his assault on a female. This suspension was and is immenent. Herm Edwards didnt exactly state it out right, but all things are point to Larry Johnson not starting.
Luckily for me I have picked up Jamaal Charles. Charles was the Chiefs 3rd round draft pick out of Texas. Eh, I dont really think Charles will have that big of an impact. I doubt he will make an impact after one game or take over Larry Johnson’s job after one game. I do think that Herm Edwards is in trouble if he doesnt do something drastic to turn the Chiefs around.

Tony Romo still might not play this week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
October 21, 2008
Tony Romo still might not play this week (week 8). According to ESPN, he maybe out atleast one more week. Brad Johnson will have to fill in again.
I made the mistake of taking the Cowboys last week in my free picks. That was a mistake. The Cowboys didnt come close to covering against the Rams. Early analysis, I dont think they will cover against the Buccaneers. It is just odd that there are so many NFL teams without adequate backups. The Patriots with an immobile Matt Cassel. The Cowboys with 40+ year old Brad Johnson. The Lions with Ovlalosky (I know I cant spell his name). Should be an interesting week once again.

Browns Suspend Kellen Winslow
October 21, 2008
Yet another player is suspended in the NFL. The NFL continues to have wack job of players getting suspended. Winslow criticised the Browns for the handling of his hospitalization. Winslow said it was a result of a staph infection.
According to medicinenet.com:
Staphylococcus is group of bacteria, familiarly known as Staph (pronounced “staff”), that can cause a multitude of diseases as a result of infection of various tissues of the body. Staph bacteria can cause illness not only directly by infection (such as in the skin), but also indirectly by producing toxins responsible for food poisoning and toxic shock syndrome. Staph-related illness can range from mild and requiring no treatment to severe and potentially fatal.
There are RUMORS that this “staph” infection was due to Winslow allegedly taking too much viagra or cialis because he is a sex addict. His hospitalization was due to him going to the hospital to get his you know what drained. On game day against the Redskins, Winslow was having a hard time putting on his uniform because of pain and discomfort where his you know what is. Again this is all rumor. I cannot confirm this story.

2008 NFL Week 8 Spreads and Lines
October 20, 2008
Here are the latest spreads and line for the 2008 NFL Season we are now in Week Eight. The Chiefs continue to be the bottom of the barrel, they are 13.5 underdogs against the Jets. Either the Buffalo Bills are getting no love from the odds makers or they are giving the Miami Dolphins more credit again this week. The Fins are 1.5 point underdogs at home. The Redskins face the winless Lions, the Redskins are 8.5 point favorites. The Titans still remain undefeated will face the Colts, the Titans are 4.5 point favorites. I would think that the Titans would have a 6-8 point favorite given that the Colts are not doing well.
