Bucks’ Lillard out vs. Wolves, to be ready for ASG

NBA

Milwaukee Bucks All-Star Damian Lillard will sit out Wednesday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the final game before the All-Star break, with right hamstring soreness.

The Bucks will also be without star Giannis Antetokounmpo on Wednesday as he misses his sixth straight game with a left calf strain. He will miss All-Star Weekend with his injury and is expected to return following the break.

Lillard is still expected to participate in NBA All-Star Weekend, sources told ESPN, defending his title as a two-time winner of the 3-point shootout Saturday and playing in his ninth career All-Star Game on Sunday in San Francisco.

Lillard, who was All-Star Game MVP in 2024 and has been selected to the game for each of his two seasons in Milwaukee, was born in Oakland and is looking forward to this year’s game as a homecoming.

He is averaging 25.8 points and 7.5 assists on 45% shooting (38% from 3 on 9.1 attempts) in 44 games this season.

Ryan Rollins started at point guard for Milwaukee on Wednesday.
