The 33rd season of the UFC’s “The Ultimate Fighter” reality series will feature two of the biggest stars in the history of the sport — not to mention, a good guy vs. a bad guy.

Retired two-weight champion Daniel Cormier and three-time title challenger Chael Sonnen will serve as opposing coaches later this year, the UFC announced Saturday. In addition to being two of the most popular fighters of all time, they currently host the “Good Guy/Bad Guy” show on ESPN.

TUF premieres May 27 and will air on ESPN. Unlike many former seasons, the two coaches will not square off in a fight at its conclusion.

Cormier (22-3) retired from the sport in 2020 and was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame the following year.

Sonnen (30-18-1) retired in 2019. His 2010 title fight against middleweight champion Anderson Silva, which he lost via fifth-round submission after dominating the all-time great through four rounds, was inducted into the Fight Wing of the UFC Hall of Fame in 2024.
