MANCHESTER, England — Manchester City midfielder Rodri will miss the rest of the season, manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed.
Rodri suffered a knee injury during the 2-2 draw with Arsenal and travelled to Barcelona for tests on Monday.
Speaking at a news conference on Friday, Guardiola confirmed the Spain international has now undergone surgery and will be sidelined for the rest of the campaign.
“He had surgery this morning. ACL and some meniscus, we think. Next season he will be with us. This season is over. Unfortunately we got the worst news but that is what happened, we will be there to support him and move forward step by step.”
