The Milwaukee Brewers are acquiring right-hander Aaron Civale from the Tampa Bay Rays for minor-league infielder Gregory Barrios, according to multiple reports.
Civale, 29, is 2-6 with a 5.07 ERA over 17 starts for the Rays this season. He has allowed 93 hits while striking out 84 in 87 innings.
Civale, who is making $4.9 million this year and is under team control for one more season, was dealt from the Guardians to Tampa Bay during last year’s trade deadline. His time with the Rays ends with a 5.17 ERA over 27 starts.
For his career Civale is 33-32 over 103 starts with a 4.10 ERA.
