Texans’ Horton celebrates final cancer treatment

NFL

Houston Texans defensive end Dylan Horton on Thursday posted a video of himself ringing the bell, signifying his last radiation treatment after being diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

“Glory to God. Final Treatment,” Horton tagged the video, which was posted to Instagram Story.

Horton stepped away from the Texans on Nov. 22, citing a “personal matter” as the Texans were preparing to play the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 12. He later learned on Dec. 1 that he had Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

The illness ended Horton’s rookie season. He issued a statement in March that he was in remission and was trending in a positive direction with hopes of eventually returning to play for the Texans.

The 2023 fourth-round pick out of TCU played in 10 games for the Texans and totaled 13 tackles, 1 tackle for loss and 2 quarterback hits.
