The LA Clippers are trading Eric Bledsoe, Justise Winslow, Keon Johnson and a future second-round pick to the Portland Trail Blazers for Norman Powell and Robert Covington, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The pick the Clippers are sending out is a 2025 second-round pick via the Detroit Pistons, sources tell ESPN.
The emergence of Anfernee Simons allows for the Blazers to move off the balance of Powell’s long-term contract, which runs through the 2025-26 season — and gives the Clippers a proven two-way wing to partner with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
Additionally, Portland is now under the luxury tax.
Both teams currently hold spots in the NBA’s play-in round with LA in eight place in the Western Conference standings and Portland five games further back in 10th place.
