The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) logo has been tweaked slightly with the lion now wearing a mask. The Virat Kohli-led RCB on Monday posted a special tweet, asking fans to ‘mask up’ in the wake of the rising COVID-19 cases in the country. In the post, RCB shared their logo on Twitter, but after slightly tweaking it – the lion in the Bangalore-based outfit’s logo is seen wearing a mask. RCB took this opportunity to educate fans about the importance of wearing a mask, while going outside in these tough times.
“Before you go ‘why’s the lion wearing a mask?’, It’s just our way of saying, ‘no matter who you are, mask up when you leave your home!’ We are going to make this our DP across SM platforms until the end of #IPL2021. Stay Safe, Save Lives, because it’s #1Team1Fight against Covid,” RCB wrote in the caption box.

Earlier on Sunday, RCB had announced that the team would be sporting a special blue jersey in one of their upcoming matches in the ongoing season of the cash-rich league to honour the frontline workers fighting day and night against coronavirus pandemic.
RCB announced by sharing a video of Kohli, where he said that they will be auctioning the signed-player jerseys from the game to raise money for India’s health infrastructure.
“What’s happening in our country with the spread of the COVID virus is deeply concerning. We as a franchise over the past week have had focused discussions on how we can help at the ground level and assist frontline workers in these dire times,” Kohli said in the clip.
