Wolves’ Russell set for surgery, out 4-6 weeks

NBA

Minnesota Timberwolves guard D’Angelo Russell will undergo arthroscopic surgery to remove a loose body in his left knee and is expected to miss four-to-six weeks, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Russell had missed Minnesota’s previous three games with what the team said was a sore left leg.

He’s averaging 19.3 points and 5.1 assists in 20 games this season for the Timberwolves, who are 7-20 overall entering Tuesday night’s matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers.
