India fought back from 186/6 to finish at 336, and Australia finished Day 3 of the fourth Test at the Gabba at 21/0 with a lead of 54 runs. David Warner looked to find some form, after a disappointing string of scores, hitting 20 off 22 deliveries after India’s first innings wrapped up. Despite India’s top order failing to fire, debutant Washington Sundar and Shardul Thakur — playing his second Test — put up a 123-run partnership to ensure that India don’t collapse and give the hosts a big first innings lead. With predictions of rain on Day 4, Australia will be looking to score quick runs to put pressure on the visitors and grab a much needed win. For India, a draw will see them retain the Border Gavaskar trophy, with the series tied at 1-1, but will be looking to secure back-to-back series wins Down Under. (LIVE SCORECARD)
