Middleweight contender Chris Eubank Jr. has signed with European promoter Team Sauerland as he targets a world title shot in 2021.

Eubank Jr. (29-2, 22 KOs), 31, from England, has been training with Roy Jones Jr. in the United States recently after dropping down a division to middleweight in his last fight, a second round win over Matvey Korobov after the Russian injured his shoulder, in December 2019.

“I look forward to working with such a historic stable that has created so many legends in the sport over so many years,” Eubank said.

“I look forward to the big fights that I crave. I’ve spent the last 12 months in the gym and I feel better than ever. I’m ready to take over the middleweight division. I want all the champions — [Ryota] Murata, [Jermall] Charlo, [Demetrius] Andrade, [Gennady] Golovkin — put me in the ring with any of them. I only want to fight the best. This is my time. If you have a belt, I’m coming for you.”

After beating English rival James DeGale — a former world champion — at super-middleweight almost two years ago, Eubank Jr. has switched his focus to the middleweight division and hopes Sauerland can help him win his first world title.

Eubank Jr., the son of Chris Eubank Sr., who was world champion in the 1990s, is No. 1 in the WBA rankings and first in the queue to face WBA world middleweight champion Murata (16-2, 13 KOs), 34, from Japan.
