Joey Chestnut won the 2008 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest in a 5-dog shoot out. It went into overtime. Joey Chestnut and Tokeru Kobayashi were tied after the competition with 59 hot dogs eaten each. The annual Nathan’s Hot Dog eating contest is upon us once again. It will take place on July 4th. I remember watching this on the news, but now it is covered live on ESPN and turned professional eating into a sport. It looks like Sam’s Club is a host for qualifiers this year.
