Jozy Altidore scored his first hatrick of his International soccer competition career. Jozy Altidore was no doubt the man of the match, being assisted all three times by Landon Donovan. The USA Men’s National Soccer team has found a new striker, most importantly a player with size and speed.

The US was down 2-0 until late in the second half they game back to even the score to end the game in a tie. Goals by Jose Altidore and Franky Hejduk. Facing a hostile environment the US seemed to be out of the game by the late rally game them a chance. El Salvador also was not helped by the change in goalie when the starter was injured. You can see clearly on the second goal that the El Salvadorian goalie was out of place. He also might have let another one in with 7 minutes left of extra time. A bicycle kick by Brian Ching left the shot wide.
